Marvel Champions Home Rules

Note:   I started collecting my home rules.  These are mostly for more fun / faster play + fixing character or play issues. Marvel Champions Home Rules Mulligan: Players can shuffle mulliganned cards back into their decks if they choose. Players can play out of order.   Technically the game has a limited form of this, Calling for Actions .  If I’m first, I can coordinate with others to ask for an extra card from that Avenger’s Mansion , or whatever so long as it is an Action .  The second player couldn’t then ask the first player to kill a minion, because the first player is done.  This could be achieved by planning out each player’s turn in order, but it takes longer.  Playing out of order is somewhat chaotic, and breaks a few rules, but saves tons of time in coordinating the hero phase.  Time saving and fun are the priority here.  Situationally, this can give the players a small advantage, eg. player four playing Maria Hill to giv...

Early Marvel Champions Playthroughs (Silly Fun, Just Learning)

Opening Notes: My Marvel Champions Box - how I build decks: I build out all my hero decks for game night, so we just pick a hero, pick a villain, and play. As such, every hero deck is an economy deck. The decks will all evolve as I acquire different hero packs and expansions. I mostly play the heroes in their original aspects. If I want to change, it has to be a swap. I'll discuss aspect swaps as they come up. Focus: With these early playthroughs, I'm mostly focused on the Heroes, discussing the feel and combination of each deck. I don't care about true solo. For me, the magic is in how the heroes and aspects pair with each other. The cooperative aspects of the game are very high. All these playthroughs will be 2-player.
