Card Spotlight: Aerial Cards and Heroes
Aerial Traited Heroes and Cards
Aerial Heroes:
Only two heroes have innate Aerial traits on their hero identities.
Almost 100% Aerial Heroes:
Thor comes with Mjolnir in his opening hand, and can gain Aerial for the whole game from his hammer if he hangs on to it. Nova starts with the Supernova Helmet in his opening hand. Ironheart version 1 does not have Aerial, but versions 2 & 3 have innate Aerial traits on the hero cards.
Mostly Aerial Heroes (with an aerial upgrade):
Captain Marvel can discard Cosmic Flight to prevent 3 damage, but she has two in her deck.
Iceman loses Ice Slide if he flips to Alter Ego, but he also has two in his deck.
Iceman loses Ice Slide if he flips to Alter Ego, but he also has two in his deck.
Sometimes Aerial Heroes:
Iron Man can spend 1 mind resource to gain Aerial.
Spider Ham can spend 1 Toon counter to gain Aerial
Rogue can place Touched on an Ally or any character with Aerial to gain Aerial
Aerial Allies:
There are 18 Aerial Allies across all the expansions. Big packs for these include Angel and Ironheart. Many cards which require the Aerial trait only need an Aerial Character. So these could be powered with aerial allies. You might not want to exhaust your Hero, so in Aerial builds, it's usually good to include some Aerial allies.
Aerial Cards:
Arguably, the best Aerial cards are in Aggression. Justice and Protection are well represented, and then Leadership is very niche --very few Aerial Leadership builds out there, although I recently saw a Vision Vivian-Voltron deck which used the Sky Cycles to ready Vivian even more.
Basic: Soaring Acrobatics, Power of Flight
Protection: Aerial Intervention, Ever Vigilant, Height Advantage
Leadership: Air Supremacy, Flying Formation, Sky Cycle
Justice: Agile Flight, Eyes in the Sky, Yaw and Roll
Aggression: Bombs Away, Dive Bomb, Get Over Here, Pitchback
